As a Designer for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China, you will be responsible for providing on-line support for ABB front-end engineers or service engineers to make trouble shooting when robots have problems at customer site.
This position reports to
Quality Manager
Your responsibilities
- Ensuring front-end engineers or service engineers provide detailed description and system data of robot failures.
- Making analysis by product support engineer, experiments, and investigation of production before providing solutions or suggestions.
- Focusing on paint robots and electrical domain.
- Consolidating the information and offer related report to customer for RCA & SI.
- Being responsible for close collaboration with the rest of the backend organization in the world.
- Having close collaboration with R&D and Production team.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree (or above) of electronic or electrical.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as diagnostic technician or field support or product/Technical support work.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with electrical. Experience with robot system or software is an advantage
- Strong ability to be self-directed and work independently, with strong organization and documentation skills.
- Exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous activities and challenges.
- Must be fluent in English reading, writing and spoken.
- Must have good teamwork spirit.
