We are now looking for a business oriented Legal Counsel supporting our Business Area Robotics & Discrete Automation. You will focus on supporting the Robotics & Discrete Automation business operating from Sweden regarding all kind of legal matters within this business but focusing on integrity and data privacy. You will also support the Business Area Robotics & Discrete Automation's Head of Integrity, Regulatory Affairs ＆ Data Privacy. As Legal Counsel you will be reporting to the Country Corporate Counsel ABB Sweden. The ideal candidate is based in Sweden.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with policies and legislation and proper implementation of Group- and local Policies and Instructions.
• Support integrity processes, provide legal- and integrity trainings and manage litigations.
• Manage- or assist in investigations and resolutions of integrity issues.
• Manage the work regarding data privacy/GDPR.
• Support the business with general legal advice related to integrity, commercial law, corporate law, competition law, IP law etc.
• Review, draft, comment and negotiate, commercial agreements such as purchase and sale contracts, technology contracts, collaboration and consortium agreements, development or pilot agreements, settlement agreement and other contracts in collaboration with relevant business managers.
• Provide legal support and advice with regards to contract execution and claims.
• Develop a good working relationship with local and global business and functions respectively, whilst maintaining an independent position.

Your background

• Law degree
• 8 years or more of legal- and integrity experience in a recognized law firm or multinational company.
• Experience of working with Data Privacy/GDPR work.
• Experience from drafting, commenting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• You are a great communicator with a practical mindset.
• Written and spoken fluency in English and preferably also Swedish.
