    ABB's Robotics & Discrete Automation business is writing the future of flexible factory and smart machines by providing value-added solutions in robotics, machine and factory automation. Our integrated automation solutions, application expertise across a wide scope of industries and our global presence deliver tangible customer value. The ABB Robotics production plant in Västerås is recruiting a manager for the Industrialization Business Office function. You will take full responsibility for factory future capabilities and competences. In this role you report to the factory manager.

    Your responsibilities

    • Own and develop the Factory Master Plan including: Factory layout, Production and Logistics master processes and belonging certification, ISO and CE, Factory Depth of Engagement with respect to current and future products and pro-cesses, Assembly and Logistics technology delivery plan.
    • Own and develop project directives and project audits.
    • Perform necessary factory investigations and investments.
    • Own and develop the factory’s Production System: Introduce the World Class Manufacturing production system in collaboration with the Robotics Production System, Own and develop the production system governance, Perform production system audits and prioritize improvement areas for results.
    • Own and develop the factory’s digitalization with developing and executing the factory digitalization delivery plan, as well as own and develop the factory’s digital visualization of performance and other relevant information.
    • Be responsible for the factory’s IS and IT and point of contact to the Robotics central IS and IT organization and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Be responsible for the digital product and process preparation.
    • Own and develop the Production Management System and document handling.

    Your background

    • To be successful in this position we look forward to recruiting a strong, experienced, and collaborative leader that has cross functional knowledge from primarily, production, logistics, manufacturing engineering, factory maintenance, project and portfolio management, R&D, IS&IT and digitalization.
    • A background from the automotive business is beneficial, as well as knowledge and experience from the production system World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
