    Accounting & Reporting Manager – Accounts Payable

    Working in this position in the finance team in our Electrification Installation Products division in Hackettstown, NJ, you will be defining the operating guidelines and processes for our accounts payable transactions. In this role you will provide leadership to enable our business to meet our agreements and our external regulatory requirement. By ensuring the accurate tracking and processing of all transactions and checking invoices to verify that they comply with the fiscal and internal control requirements, you will be a trusted financial partner within our finance team.

    Your responsibilities

    • Establish and ensure compliance with guidelines, procedures and external regulatory requirements
    • Ensures accurate processing of Accounts Payable transactions. Oversees organization and work allocation for individuals involved in transaction processing
    • Ensures timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of reporting package and associated disclosures
    • Perform oversight through financial analysis and share results with business stakeholders while identifying opportunities to improve performance where appropriate
    • Review and approve business communications, ensuring knowledge is shared and colleagues are informed about any changes to processes and procedures
    • Leads enforcement and implementation of relevant internal accounting and reporting guidelines and compliance with external accounting regulations
    • Ensure effective communication with all relevant stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction
    • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

    Your background

    • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business is highly preferred and minimum 8 years of experience in an accounting role; Work experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting is highly preferred
    • 3 years of people leadership experience
    • Experience with computerized accounting systems and inventory management software, including SAP
    • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multitask
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
