    As an R&D Engineer, you play an important role in proposing and implementing technology development and solutions. In this position, you will execute product development tasks for the My Control System (MCS) platform, a service-orientated product within the process automation area, with a focus on cyber-security-relevant and service-related functionality. Our ambition is to develop a product that provides added value in the service of our automation systems. To do this, we combine cyber security-relevant functions with the latest technologies to deliver added value for our customers. As an Angular/.NET Full Stack Developer, you will be a member of the Agile team located in Minden, Germany. Whether you work in the Minden office or prefer to work from home is up to you. You will be working in a cross-functional team that operates in an international environment. Being part of this team means also being a part of the huge stream which operates using the Scaled Agile Framework.

    Your responsibilities

    • Working in an agile environment in an international environment and being responsible for developing professional software products in collaboration with the Scrum team
    • Oversee the full range of activities relating to software engineering, including requirement analysis, specification of architecture and design, implementation, drawing up and performing unit test procedures for module testing, etc.
    • Ensuring that projects are aligned with targets and coordinating activities with the team and applying R&D processes and tools
    • Understanding what creates customer value and working to improve operations and customer satisfaction
    • Actively follow and apply current trends and best practices in software development, technologies, and ABB standards to build high-quality products
    • Proactively find and suggest technical solutions for improvements in project delivery and customer experience

    Your background

    • Apprenticeship as a software developer or a technical university education
    • Experience in frontend development using TypeScript and Angular, and backend web development using ASP.NET Core
    • Knowledge of application architecture and development in .NET/Service Oriented models
    • You have experience with some of the following programming languages, tools, and frameworks like Angular, Typescript, ASP.NET Core, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Power BI, and REST
    • You understand the importance of cyber security and requirements for industrial software
    • A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
