Application Engineer

In this position, you will be the application engineer for Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (Force Measurement portfolio). You will understand client specifications to deliver solutions using the existing ABB force measurement portfolio. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will drive excellence, making technical recommendations to ensure that engineering activities are effectively executed in accordance with expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities The role will be based in São Paulo or Sorocaba sites

Your responsibilities

• Deliver advice to the commercial team on the technical aspects of offers, providing guidance about force measurement product applications
• Contributing technical details and perspectives in at various stages, and delivering technical presentations, drawings and demonstrations of complex product issues
• Offering specialized training on products, solutions and services for the sales teams and clients
• Assist contract managers with claims related to changes in project scope, including assessment of cost and time impacts, as well as risk quantifications
• Provide technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals, while assisting project managers in technical reviews and discussions with clients and others
• Create and deliver work plans, resource requirements, proposals, engineering estimates, and risk and opportunity analysis
• Solve complex technical problems both remotely and at customer sites in Sao Paulo and Sorocaba, with availability to travel
• Maintain and improve customer satisfaction by offering dialogue and excellent service at all times

Your background

• A bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical engineering) with Specialization in Project Management
• Previous experience as an application engineer. Preferrable with industrial instrumentation (force measurement products)
• Advanced English and fluent Portuguese
• A strong focus on safe work practices and a dedication to following safety guidelines in the workplace
• A collaborative and solution-oriented approach with strong written and oral communication skills
