    Position summary

    n Mount Olive, New Jersey. As a Assembler, you will be responsible for manufacture, replace and assemble parts according to work instructions and overhauls electronics equipment for rail vehicles, in particular auxiliary power supplies, battery chargers and converters. Solder work is required to different levels.
    Your responsibilities

    • Follows written and/or verbal instructions, prints, and work guides

    • Utilizes safety equipment and observes all safety rules and practices

    • Uses various machines and hand and/or power tools to accomplish assigned tasks

    • Inspects components, assembles, disassembles, corrects, cleans and finalize sub-assemblies or assemblies

    • Performs and submits work performed for inspection

    • Reports recognized defective material and equipment to supervisor

    • Re-solder or touch-up components or assemblies

    • Performs miscellaneous and related tasks that are an integral part of job classification

    • Experience soldering thru hole and surface mount assemblies on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) highly preferred

    Your background

    • High School Diploma and 3 to 5 years experience in electromechanical/Soldering assemblies

    • 18 years of age minimum

    • Proven assembly and production experience in a lean manufacturing environment

    • Knowledge of power tools for electrical assemblies or related products

    • Knowledge and experience in ESD environment

    • Knowledge and expertise in wiring assemblies, connectors, and cables installation

    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to use appropriate power equipment to lift and move greater amounts

    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
