    Associate Project Engineer

    In this role, you will be responsible for support engineering activities under the supervision of a Senior Engineer in all types of projects sizes and complexities. You will also complete tasks according to schedule, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

    Supervisor - Switchboard Engineering

    Your responsibilities

    • Technical contribution: Performs basic survey work, standard computations, analysis and basic design tasks. Assists other engineers, collects data and supports production of the engineering design. Exercises judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods. Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.
    • Customer: Clarifies technical queries for customers. Interacts with other staff and contractors within one’s scope of deliverables.
    • Supply chain management: Collaborates with the Supply Chain function, reviews vendor documentation, supports preparation of RFQs (Request for quotations), evaluation of proposals, maintaining the execution of projects, etc.
    • Processes and tools: Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Reports process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.
    • People leadership and development: May assign tasks to and coordinate work with technicians, administrative staff.

    Your background

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred.
    • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills, able to take technical concepts and communicate a concise description at any level of understanding.
    • Strong computer skills including Operating Systems setup in addition to application usage a plus.
    • Strong Internet Protocol network skills desired.
    • Strong troubleshooting aptitude.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Desire to work in an industrial environment.
    • Ability to travel periodically domestically and internationally.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
