Associate Project Engineer (f/m/d) – Electrification and Energy Systems

Working as an Associate Project Engineer, in this position you will be responsible for hardware and site planning related to system solutions for low and medium voltage projects and drive applications in the area of Process Industries projects, especially in Mining and Bulk Material Handling in Cottbus. In this role, you will make technical engineering in various phases of customer projects including site activities to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities
- Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors
- Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards
- Supporting customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites
- Developing your project engineering and communication skills by working on our projects
- Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project
Your background
- Experience in hardware planning in electrical, drives and energy system projects, especially in the design of plants and machinery
- Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, especially CAD systems
- Experience with projects in the field Mining and Material Handling industries is desirable
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
- A collaborative team player, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent/higher
- Willingness for service and commissioning activities in local and international job sites
- Fluency in English and German
