    We are looking for a new colleague for the position "Automation Engineer - Modernization of DCS systems" for the ABB Operation Center Europe with branches in Ostrava, Brno and Pilsen. ABB Operations Center Europe is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which provides engineering for units across Europe and employs more than 600 staff. It also includes a supply chain management center. This position is suitable for experienced automation engineers as well as for graduates who are interested in the field of automation and want to gain experience on foreign projects.     Your responsibilities

    • Work on conversions of historical automation systems to modern DCS systems using automated tools
    • Design, specification and documentation of automation systems
    • Creation of functional descriptions and programming of SW applications
    • Hardware design for the implementation of automation systems
    • Execution of acceptance tests (FAT)
    • Putting the equipment into operation at the customer's site
    • Active work within the entire project team
    • Creation of technical documentation in accordance with the requirements of ABB and end customers
    • Collaboration to create offers and support to end customers

    Your background

    • You have at least a high school education in electrical engineering
    • You have Decree No. 50/1978 Coll. (min. §5)
    • You have communicative knowledge of English (communication with customers and colleagues – by phone + emails + in person) – min. B1/B2
    • Desire to work in an international team - daily use and improvement of the English language
    • Ability to work independently
    • Willingness to travel – about 20-30% of the time
    • University education in the field of electricity is an advantage
    • Work experience in the field of automation / electrical (PLC, drives, control systems, projections) is an advantage
