Bid & Quotation Specialist

You will be working as Bid & Quotation Specialist and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for preparing the competitive, accurate and timely formulation of bid documents, in coordination with relevant stakeholders. In this position, you will be the expert in preparing competitive bids, estimates and quotations for customers of the ABB Callier Aix-les-Bains business' industrial production unit projects in the lubricants, paints, chemicals, and paper industries

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring accurate and timely formulation of bid documents, in coordination with relevant stakeholders
• Managing all aspects of bids - including technical, financial and product management, as well as risk assessment
• Working in support of the sales team and relationship with the process person to prepare bids and knowing how to read and interpret the PFDs to send the RFQs
• Centralizing the returns and build the cost sheet in Excel and write the offers in word and consulting with internal departments (Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, Planning, Logistics) to identify project deadlines and guarantee quality offers
• Contributing to an efficient and positive customer relationship throughout the sales process, Reviewing, reporting on tender results and identify areas for improvement to increase success rate
• Interacting with local ABB counterparts based in the countries where the customers are based
• Reporting to the Bid Preparation Department Manager, your attention to detail and ability to communicate with multiple partners will be essential to this key component of project planning

Your background

• Technical Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years’ experience in the field of bid preparation, as a Quotation
• Strong analytical, synthesis skills and strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security regulations: HSE is everyone's business
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Specialist or Bid Preparation with a first successful experience in the heavy industry market (paper, oil, chemical engineering), excellent attention to detail and ability
