    Position summary

    ed with competent personnel from within the Bid Management Team; that bid management, ownership and leadership is provided to the Front End Sales Managers; accurate cost estimates, Engineering Estimates and high-quality scopes of work are produced and delivered with the support of the commercial, procurement, technical and project management teams. • Ensuring the most competitive offers considering the market situation and customer conditions; and identifying the most effective approach (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) for better serving the customer. • Interfaces and works effectively with Technical Advisory, Operations and Front End Sales functions to facilitate smooth running of the bid management function for ABB's installed base • Manage a team of Bid Managers, covering solutions and services for Automation, Electrical, Telecommunications and Digital disciplines across ABB's Installed base.
    Qualifications for the role

    • You will have proven experience successfully leading and managing complex automation, electrical or telecommunication bids, for the Oil and Gas, Power Generation, new energies, or other Energy sectors.
    • You will be a subject matter expert in at least one of the following: bid management processes, commercial agreements, contractual terms and conditions negotiations, costing model calculations, project execution risk management, technical execution or project management for automation, electrical, or telecoms projects.
    • You will require strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to exude commercial, and contractual competence when customer-facing, including a professional "can-do" attitude, and attention to details.
    • You must be a highly motivated individual who can plan their time, priorities, and tasks. You must be able to multitask and still meet deadlines within your area of responsibility.
    • You must be able to identify, agree and implement change.
    • Some previous line management experience is preferrable.
    • You will be fluent in English.
