    In this role, you will be the technical point person for the PAPI (Process Automation Process Industry) Systems Sales within Process Automation, Process Industries, sales organization in providing technical solutions and advice on ABB products, systems and applications. You are responsible to support and assist Account Managers in the sales of L&W Product Solutions and to have direct sales responsibility to Pulp and Paper customer accounts not covered by the Account Mangers. Travel is estimated to 25%.

    Your responsibilities

    • Learn to develop and maintain close working relationships with client representatives responsible for making or influencing purchasing decisions. Interact with relevant parties to negotiate sales, develop terms, resolve disputes and address quality related issues
    • Develop account plans with Account Managers that include account strategies, objectives, identify opportunities and associated plans/ tactics and player maps for the assigned accounts
    • Evaluate and access competing products/ solutions and their market positions; develop and implement strategies and plans to differentiate products from the competitors
    • Coordinate and make presentations to customers. Presentations may cover technical aspects, operational benefits, product features, economic justification and product differentiation
    • Conduct product demonstrations either at the request of customers or as part of a program to carry out demos of strategic products
    • Learn and assist with defined sales pursuit related activities and processes: Reporting sales calls, Salesforce (Opportunities, visit reports, contacts), Territory sales forecasts, Request for Proposals, Proposal Approvals, Order logging

    Your background

    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field required or extensive technical work experience in the paper or similar Industry is acceptable as substitute and minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development related to digital/ automation solutions and products in a Process Industry preferred
    • Experience working in a position serving the Pulp & Paper industry is preferred
    • Demonstrated leadership, strong presentation skills, as well as good organizational and communication skills are required
    • Knowledgeable in the use of PC and related software including Microsoft Office applications are preferred
    • Knowledge and use of Salesforce. A good understanding of the P&P (Pulp & Paper) market and general papermaking processes as well as the business challenges that our P&P customers need to address are preferred
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
