    Business Manager – Operations (80 – 100%) m/w/d

    In this role you will be as Local Business leader responsible for managing the Packaging and Solutions business in Switzerland, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth as well as successful execution of projects.

    Your responsibilities

    • Local Product Group financials and budget
    • Increase market share, per target customer segment, by close interaction with Marketing and Sales, Packaging and Solutions global functions and resources, and relevant global ABB and third party suppliers.
    • Identify new market opportunities, or deepen the penetration with existing customers, by defining attractive product package solutions in the Electrification power distribution area.
    • Oversee operations management of the Local Product Group. Ensure successful project execution for engineered solutions and complex projects, and drive competency development and continuous improvement of project management and engineering.
    • Drive the performance of the Packaging and Solutions team
    • Resource planning and team development
    • Continuous improvement of processes and procedures

    Your background

    • 10 years of experience in business development, tendering, project management and / or engineering for power distribution solutions for engineered packages and solutions as well as larger, complex projects
    • Management experience
    • Sound knowledge of electrification and automation products
    • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
    • A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
    • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field
    • Good German and English skills
