As a buyer, you will play an important role in providing assistance to the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures and by providing relevant market information. You will be part of the purchasing Team which consists of >5 employees. Your team members are based in Delft and Eindhoven, bringing a diverse set of cultures and skills. The team has a drive for collaboration, focus, responsibility and transparency.

Your responsibilities

• Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms, negotiating with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions
• Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures
• Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues
• Identifying and qualifying new suppliers together with supplier quality and engineering specialists
• Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.

Your background

• A relevant Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent skill level.
• 2+ years of experience as a buyer at a corporate multi-national company, preferably in a technical industry.
• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of (Ariba/SAP MM), with an emphasis on the procurement
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach.
• Hands-on mentality, flexible and creative.
• You can work in multi-disciplinary teams and multi-cultural environment. You are structured in communication and approach.
• Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
