    Working in the procurement team in Instrumentation, Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) in Warminster, Pennsylvania, you will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives. You will be responsible to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global category manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

    Your responsibilities

    • Sourcing strategy: Supports the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global Category leader
    • Negotiations: Negotiates agreements with main suppliers and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions
    • Excellence: Runs benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives
    • Contract Management: Creates local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates/maintains frame contracts
    • Support: Supports regional/global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies
    • Supplier performance: On boards new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer and runs regular supplier evaluations and provides supplier reports to Businesses and Category Managers
    • Orders: Runs regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold
    • Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements
    • Communication: Fosters communication internally, externally and between businesses and supports the implementation of PL activities and initiatives in the Region/Country through this clear communication

    Your background

    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing purchasing department OR;
    • Master's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing purchasing department
    • Experience with supply management and quality processes
    • Experience working with complex drawings and specifications, contract law, commercial terms, standard procurement procedures and related Company policies
    • Proven expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
    • SAP Experience
    • Experience working in the manufacturing industry
    • Working experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of the principles of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (an asset)
    • Capacity to maintain partnerships with internal and external collaborators
    • Demonstrate solid proficiency in teamwork, leadership and an extensive capacity to manage priorities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
