Certifications and Quality Manager

We are looking for a Certifications and Quality Manager to join our Electrification business. You will join the Laboratory team responsible for testing and certification of ABB low voltage products in the field of DIN-Rail, Wiring Accessories and Building Automation.

Your responsibilities
- Define test plans to verify the compliance of a product to the requested standards and the fulfillment of its market requirements.
- Perform analysis on experimental data, summarize the results and prepare technical test reports on completed activities.
- Closely collaborate with the R&D and Quality engineers to develop the best technical solutions to address quality issue and reach the requested product performances.
- Propose and implement improvements in the existing test set-ups in terms of equipment, techniques, methods, and new tools.
- Manage new products approvals with third party bodies and maintain/update the existing ones.
- Manage the Laboratory Quality system making sure calibrations, test procedures and general procedures meet the requirements of EN 17025. Review and validate test reports against the requirements of EN 17025.
- Train other colleagues on the procedures of the Laboratory and make sure they are always followed when performing any activity.
- Collaborate with the HUB Quality Officers to keep the Laboratory procedures in line with the organizational ones.
- Organize and manage inspectors visit for products certification tests and for the Laboratory Accreditation.
- Manage external customers and support them through all the process from the initial quotation, test plan definition, results delivery.
- Monitor and update KPI regarding customers satisfaction, handling claims and corrective actions.
Your background
- Master degree (5 years) in Electronic, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- More than 2 years of experience in an Accredited Laboratory or equivalent. Proven expertise in audits and Accredia accreditation management and in the use of basic Laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, functions generator etc..). Familiar with the uncertainty computation and its application to the calibrations and test methods.
- Full and verifiable knowledge of EN 17025 and expertise in its implementation in the Laboratory Quality System.
- Knowledge in the use of Polarion, Power BI and SAP is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Full fluency in Italian (C2 level) and very good English knowledge (at least C1 level).
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Effective at working independently and in a team.
