Reporting to the National Sales Manager or Head of Projects Sales, the Chemical, Oil & Gas (COG) Sales Account Manager, targets, coordinates and execute project and packaging sales strategies for the COG Segment to meet and exceed sales targets by creating added value for the customer and ABB, with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Promote the sales of Variable Frequency Drives and Electric Motors within the scope of key projects and packaging in COG segments.
Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions for Major COG Accounts.
Implement 360o coverage of project opportunities including proactive Engineering procurement and Construction (EPC) and consultant coverage.
Create, implement, and execute sales and account strategy to meet and exceed regional sales targets for projects and packaging.
Work collaboratively with regional front-end Sales teams to ensure coverage of distribution and/or OEM channel opportunities related to key project/packaging pursuits in COG.
Monitoring, market trend and competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels with key customers as well as market influencers, consultants and EPCs.
Develop and support synergies with other ABB business lines and develop joint pursuits to leverage existing ABB customer relationships.
Account management • Ensures that the major accounts in the segments are identified and prioritized. • Maps market requirements and opportunities to actions for ABB and coordinates with Divisions, Sales units and other relevant teams (such as Group/Strategic Account teams, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) teams) to implement these.
B.Eng, Electrical with experience in technical selling is an asset.
Proven track record in sales, strategic business development (10 years+).
Demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy.
Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms, SalesForce.com a plus.
A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
Applicable regional industry knowledge and experience Chemical, Oil and gas essential - additional MV Drives and Large Motors a plus.
Ability to travel up to 75% with Western region (Occasional national travel).
