    As a Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead you will establish and maintain a culture of excellence in our Process Industries Europa. You will implement and govern a system to secure operational quality throughout the project life cycle process. Reporting to the Operation Center Manager in Czech Republic you will achieve operational quality throughout our project execution processes. By deploying a set of CI competencies, utilizing Lean Six Sigma, 8D, PDCA and other methodologies you will drive continuous improvement across the entire value chain and contribute to increased customer satisfaction and profitability.     Your responsibilities

    • Understanding the organization’s vision, objectives and improvement needs, identifying appropriate projects and ensuring implementation of corresponding improvement actions and execute the Division/Business strategy on continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies
    • Develop a common and consistent approach across Europe in line with Division structure for CI and strategy deployment via L6S. Customize strategy and facilitate best practice sharing within region
    • Providing organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts; ensuring progress and value via metrics/KPIs
    • Facilitating best practice sharing within our organization and to enable wider implementation by working directly and closely with key stakeholders
    • Provide training, coaching and facilitation support to individuals and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves. Promote Business Area/Divisional training and development structure in line with CI and organizational goals. Continually strive to increase individual and business skills by benchmarking external processes and techniques and introduce applicable ones into ABB
    • Ensure the Voice of the Customer is represented within the local divisions; challenge the management team with customer experience feedback and input for decisions; enable and coach all employees to evaluate risks, problems, and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view
    • Drive cultural transformation within the scope of responsibility, with a hands-on approach; Promote behavioral change to continuously improve function performance through programs and initiatives

    Your background

    • Minimum of five years working experience in relevant field
    • Proven track record in Continuous Improvement, Quality Management and Manufacturing Process Control
    • Experience in project execution, plant and manufacturing engineering is desirable.
    • Certification as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
    • Exceptional communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a professional, “can-do” attitude
    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, complemented by a further education in Continuous Improvement and Quality Management
    • Fluency in English, any additional language is an asset
