The Continuous Improvement Manager will be establishing and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture in ABB by utilizing Lean Six Sigma (L6S) as the CI methodology and creating transparency to monitor progress using digitalization IoT within the Motion NEMA Motors Business Area in Columbus, Mississippi.

Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your responsibilities

• Work with all levels of management; Plant Operations, Engineering and Quality to achieve and foster a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
• Create and maintain a digital twin of the manufacturing facility using FlexSim while championing IoT with the help of ThingWorx.
• Manage Corrective/Preventive Action Program (A3) and facilitate root cause problem solving while managing high impact projects related to automation.
• Maintain accurate standard routed times within manufacturing facility.
• Use L6S tools to increase productivity and efficiency in all manufacturing departments.
• Manage engineering change process (TDR) for accuracy and manufacturability.

Your background

• Associates Degree with minimum 10 years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 6 years experience.
• Preferred Experience Includes:
• Engineering or Operations, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification, SAP, Microsoft Project, FlexSim and ThingWorx.
• Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USA
