This role is part of the Global Quality and Continuous Improvement team, a supporting function for the ABB Business Services in the HR area. The scope of the role includes supporting the operational teams in the BS HR Operations Hubs and all the respective regional Front Offices in the countries, with continuous improvement specific topics, as well as the Regional and BS HR Operations Leadership Team, with driving regional and global projects and initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, with impact on Global, Regional or local level for the HR Operations
  • Lead the assigned initiative from concept through implementation and closure, taking accountability and responsibility for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring objectives and deliverables are met, as per defined budget and timeline
  • Actively monitor project risks to foresee and identify potential problems as well as proactively identify solutions to address in advance
  • Drive appropriate stakeholder management to ensure all their expectations are managed and buy-in is ensured
  • Support Global and Regional transformation projects within the GBS HR Operations organization
  • Supports the BS HR Operations Leadership in business management specific topics
  • Review performance data and perform operational data analysis as basis for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the operational teams in the Region(s) to identify process improvement potentials and coordinate the initiatives to implement the optimizations
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement workshops to drive ideas and solutions, together with stakeholders from the Operations in the Hub and/ or Front Offices
  • Support the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and of better ways of working
  • Ensure proper documentation of the projects driven as per the corresponding methodology (PM/ Lean Six Sigma)
  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve the Continuous Improvement framework for GR HR Operations including specific methodologies, tools, problem solving techniques, targets and recognition for successful completion of CI initiatives
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement mindset within the Organization; train and support the BS HR Operations employees with regard to specific Continuous Improvement Tools and Methodologies
  • Support & coach junior Continuous Improvement Team members

Your background

  • 4-6 years of experience in similar roles
  • Hands-on experience with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization in multinational, complex Shared Service environment
  • Excellent project management skills, project management certification is a plus
  • Strong expertise and experience with Six Sigma and Lean tools, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
  • Excellent English skills in writing and speaking
  • Excellent presentation creation and delivery skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience in usage various MS Office pack elements
  • Strong Customer orientation
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Ability to transfer customer requirements into appropriate initiatives and/ or solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managers, and subject matter experts
  • High degree of structure and self-organization, independent worker, deadline focused, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative working style appreciating the inclusion of geographies, levels, functions, and cultures
  • Work with team to share knowledge and learnings
