    Continuous Improvement Specialist

    As a Continuation Improvement Specialist, you will be establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in ABB, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology and creating transparency to monitor progress. In this role, you will typically be implementing continuous improvement projects in the local organization and/or mastering multiple projects.

    Your responsibilities

    • Executing continuous improvement and strategy deployment and working with other CI (Continuous Improvement) leaders to standardize processes and develop best practices
    • Working in cross functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks
    • Identifying key team members in each function to support projects within the location and encourage key individuals to develop their skills
    • Mentoring and coaching continuous improvement candidates and developing a pipeline of team members able to drive business results
    • Understanding the organization’s vision, objectives and needs, and suggesting projects, actions and tools achieve them
    • Providing organization wide visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts and tracking progress and value from these efforts
    • Providing training and coaching to people and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves and drive standardization and consistency
    • Driving transformational projects with a hands on (“Gemba”) and problem solving approach

    Your background

    • Bachelors degree in Industrial, mechanical, electronics, engineering or operations/business administration management and minimum 5 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement (CI) role in a manufacturing plant environment
    • Sound knowledge in Lean Six Sigma with a minimum Greenbelt Certification
    • Knowledge of SAP & MS Soft Suite
    • A collaborative, solution focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills

    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
