    Continuous Improvement Specialist

    Deploy and lead a common approach for continuous improvement for a local ABB organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improving. Mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. Lead projects to improve and sustain local business performance.

    Your responsibilities

    • Executing continuous improvement and strategy deployment and working with other CI leaders to standardize processes and develop best practices.
    • Working in cross-functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks.
    • Identifying key team members in each function to support projects within the location and encourage key individuals to develop their skills.
    • Mentoring and coaching continuous improvement candidates and developing a pipeline of team members able to drive business results.
    • Understanding the organization’s vision, objectives and needs, and suggesting projects, actions, and tools to achieve them.
    • Providing organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts, and tracking progress and value from these efforts.
    • Providing training and coaching to people and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves and driving standardization and consistency.
    • Driving transformational projects with a hands-on (“gemba”) and problem-solving approach.

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related.
    • 2-3 years of experience in similar position.
    • Experience in 5´s and Lean Manufacturing.
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma - Green Belt and Kanban.
    • Intermediate – Advanced level of English.
