    Controlling & Planning Senior Specialist – Information Systems (IS)/IT

    In this position, you will aid the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics for performance versus budgets and forecasts, while identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance. Reporting to the Controlling & Planning Team Leader you will benchmark KPIs with peers and work with management to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance and to identify trends.

    Your responsibilities

    • Performing analysis of IS performance versus budget and forecast, benchmarking key performance indicators with EL IS business partners and internal peers
    • Working with Controllers in Divisions / Regions / Countries and functions to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance and identify trends
    • Supporting preparation of financial reporting and various financial analysis, business planning, budgeting and forecasting, validating accuracy of financial data, reports and business information by performing reconciliation and review of exceptions
    • Performing cost allocation model, verification of assumptions and drivers across Divisions in cooperation with Business Partners (e.g. Domain Leaders, Business Controllers)
    • Driving standardization and transparency of financial processes and reporting
    • Ensuring proper reporting for the ABB Group (ABACUS and ISPBR)
    • Becoming partner for EL IS Controller, support EL IS team, business CIOs & their service managers in order to help them to understand, defend and manage their total IS budget and KPI’s (Own IT Cost)
    • Controlling the correctness of allocated cost (Allocated IT Cost) from ABB Group (CHGPL) and other counterparties
    • Performing controls within your area as designed, while maintaining a proper audit trail and documentation for future audits and reviews, ensure SOPs are prepared and updated

    Your background

    • At least 5 years of experience in Controlling and/or FP&A
    • Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting or Business administration
    • Good knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills
    • Fluency in English – written & spoken
    • Analytical skills, paying attention to details, good communication skills, diligence, high sense of ownership
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Time management and ability to prioritize tasks, working well under pressure is a prerequisite (meeting deadlines with highest quality)
    • Ability to propose improvements in processes
    • Highly motivated to work in dynamic environment with orientation towards process improvement/simplification
