    Customer and NPI Validation Engineer

    We are looking for a dynamic engineer to join our E-mobility division building products located in San Giovanni Valdarno as a Customer and NPI Validation Engineer. In this role you will define validation methodology for new product validation and field introduction to accomplish product compliance to customer requirement and applicable standards. You will act with safety, efficiency, quality and productivity to assure that products and service meet stated requirements. You will support the definition and implementation of continuous improvement on products and services. You will lead the field test validation and will define product requirement and corrective action to meet customer expectation. You will contribute to quality and reliability knowledge base driving information within the organization to optimize service, repair, preventive and predictive maintenance.

    Your responsibilities

    • Define test procedures for new products in the field.
    • Be part of product development since early stage to assess product compliance to specification, performance and implementation of lesson learnt.
    • Design and implement test cases and test setup for interoperability, product compliance to specification and failure reproduction.
    • Review product standards, asses new product deviation and provide feedback to other departments within the Organization.
    • Work on site and remotely within international organization and vehicle manufacturers.
    • Perform performance analysis of the installed fleet and report to the Organization and Customers.
    • Apply problem solving methodology and work closely with other business functions to accomplish root cause investigation.
    • Define product Hardware and Software corrective actions to solve product issues and increase overall quality and reliability.
    • Cooperate to build failure prediction model. Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to internal stakeholders and customer.

    Your background

    • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation Engineering or equivalent skill level;
    • Affinity with power electronics, digital hardware, and circuit theory; deep knowledge is a plus;
    • Proven system integration and debugging skills;
    • Experience on working with laboratory measuring instruments;
    • Affinity with programming skills: Like C++/C/Python/SQL;
    • 3+ years of professional experience working in Electronic or Electric company in engineering, R&D , service, and/or quality role. Power electronics is a plus;
    • Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English and preferably knowledge of Italian;
    • Availability to travel internationally;
