You will be in the front line of creating data analytics services empowering human-machine interactions. There are already tens of thousands of ABB Ability™ Smart Sensors connected to different types of assets as motors, fans or pumps, and the number is growing. We are also using various signals derived from drives which enable us to assess and predict the condition of the drive. Our digitalized powertrains provide reliable data which is utilized in advanced algorithms. You will be part of motion analytics community working in an international environment, delivering solutions devoted to a predictive maintenance and a failure predictions. You will be working in Corporate Technology Center in Krakow. This is how we do things: • We leverage software development, machine learning, statistics, signal processing and domain knowledge to find the most suitable solution. • We design, develop and deploy algorithms which are further used by our clients around the world. • We believe in agile and start-up like approach. • We work on R&D projects hand in hand with our technological partners and research institutes. Your responsibilities

• You will learn to:
• Design and implement algorithms dedicated to the condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
• Develop tests, interpret and validate results to ensure reliable solution
• Use relevant tools to monitor and analyze algorithms performance and accuracy.
• Propose new means and methods towards analytics-related services for rotating machines and AC drives.
• Work in a global team, share knowledge and experience with other team members.

Your background

• A 2nd-5th year student in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of linear algebra, calculus and statistics at the basic academic level.
• Basic theoretical knowledge on machine learning techniques currently available on the market.
• Basic programming skills in Python. An experience in Pandas, Numpy, scikit-learn will be an additional asset.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• High team-work ability.
