Data Scientist - Product Development

You will be working as Data Scientist - Product Development and will be reporting to Pricing Specialist and will be a part of GBS located in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be part of Global Advanced Analytics team and will be responsible for providing data insights and analytics to the business

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for creating and developing new analytics products and improving the existing ones
• Working with business managers to frame a problem, both mathematically and within the business context
• Understanding business data and how to use it appropriately in data analysis
• Performing exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the problem and constructing and fit statistical, machine learning, or optimization models
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop analytical solutions to optimize business processes
• Performing analysis using industry leading text mining, data mining, and analytical tools and open source software

Your background

• Your Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics/Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or related field with, preferably from the top schools
• 1-4 years of work experience in product development
• Proficient in frontend and backend technologies like React, Javascript and SQL
• Knowledge on CI/CD pipeline, deployment, microservice architecture would be plus.
• Good of experience with advanced statistical modeling and machine learning and proficient with analytical/predictive modeling software. (Python/R/SAS or similar)
• Experience with data preparation, rationalization, and processing on big data and dealing with both structured and unstructured data
• Decent understanding and experience with predictive / analytical modeling techniques, theories, principles, and practices
