    Position summary

    model for the role is: Remote This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. You will be mainly accountable for: • Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points. • Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform. • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. • Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.     Qualifications for the role

    • Associate's Degree Desired or comparable military technical training and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments will be considered.
    • A good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking, cyber security, and ABB Symphony Plus Distributed Control System is a plus. NOTE: Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided to instill confidence in providing outstanding field service support.
    • Self-motivated and self-directed to accommodate numerous customer responsibilities. Must be willing to maintain overnight travel of 80%.
    • Process automation work experience. Understanding of systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal.
    • Applicants must speak fluent English and have a legal driver's license.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
