    Design Engineer - E&I

    You will be working as a Design Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager, and will be responsible for Electrical and Instrumentation engineering and design as per project specifications in terms of time schedule, cost and quality which are required for the project.

    Your responsibilities

    • Carrying out instrumentation and electrical studies for the projects in compliance with commitments in terms of quality, planning and costs
    • Developing and providing the necessary inputs/specifications to the electrical and Instrumentation designer
    • Consulting and providing the specific technical specifications to the procurement department for purchase (Drives, PLCs, PC, and server)
    • Following up with suppliers/subcontractors for equipment’s manufacturing and on time delivery (If wiring outside France, wiring of electrical cabinets or wiring of skids)
    • Following the evolution of new technology to adapt the equipment to the different standards
    • Checking and validating the technical quality of the work carried out by the electrical designer before manufacturing and transmission to the customer
    • Performing electrical checks and tests on I/O cabinets, control boxes or junction boxes made by our subcontractors. (If cabling outside France and after validation by the manager)
    • Delivering a technical assistance to the commissioning team and preparing RFQ and float tender for cabling of cabinets, Cabling of skids, Cabling of customer sites
    • Being responsible for interpretation of PID diagrams, document list, schematic of connections, equipment list. (cabinets, boxes, etc.), cable list, I/O List (assigned by geographic sector.), power balance, motor list etc.

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics /Instrumentation Engineering discipline
    • 5 years' experience in similar functions ideally in an international environment,
    • At least 3 years of professional work experience in Electrical/Instrumentation engineering (DCS/ ESD/ FGS) for process industries in any one of the domains like Oil & Gas/ Refineries/ Petrochemicals.
    • Experience with AutoCAD on electrical and Instrumentation drawings
    • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and SAP
    • Determination, capacity to organize the own daily work and prioritize topics, capacity to address multiple and diverse technical issue in a complex environment
    • Excellent communication in English and French is good to have
