    Design Engineer

    This is a Design Engineer role, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area - Electrification based in Nasik, India. You will be primarily responsible to create and modify the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction for assignments classified as low to medium complexity by applying standard design concepts.

    Your responsibilities

    • Designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contractual specification
    • Contributing to prepare specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, while adhering to relevant standards, safety, and quality
    • Actively contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes
    • Using standard processes and tools, assisting to develop new processes and tools for reuse of technical solutions
    • Supporting technical risk assessments and implementing results actioning for one’s projects
    • Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM)
    • Following work plans and cost estimation provided by the Project Manager and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost
    • Collaborating with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual requirements
    • Coordinating with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested
    • Coordinating with Commissioning / Service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract)

    Your background

    • BE/ B.Tech education is required
    • Minimum relevant experience of 5-8 years
    • Experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear
    • EPLAN & AUTOCAD 3D USER (Software user)
    • SAP user for project execution
    • Application check in medium voltage switchgear
    • Knowledge of Numerical Relays for implementing logics & philosophy and of Current Transformer Selection
    • Knowledge for preparation of Scheme & BOM preparation and of goose engineering implementation & presentation in drawing
    • Accurate selection of equipment suitable to system requirement in medium Voltage Switchgear
    • Ability to learn new developments & implementation in Switchgear
    • Knowledge of System study basic requirement and preparation of 3D mechanical drawings from BOM
