Design Engineer Mechanaical

You will be working as Design Engineer Mechanical, reporting to Project Manager for Electrification business area, Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for creating, modifying, and analyzing the design of equipment, systems, or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction on assignments of medium to high complexity using established solutions

Your responsibilities

• Preparing detailed design drawing with respect to type test like ACB link, MCCB link, busbar interconnection drawing etc
• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to identify and select enclosure part to build power enclosure panel
• Providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepting as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services
• Creating work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
• Preparing detailed engineering drawing, BOM and production drawings and releasing the same to supplier
• Coordinating with supplier and system integrators as per the revised business strategy to have a common understanding
• Identifying, reporting and implementing actions to improve safety and integrity within our area of responsibility

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in LV switchgear
• Experience working on components like ACB, MCCB, Soft Starters, VFD, ATS, Transformer Bus duct
• Knowledge about design of electrical control panels according to relevant standards like IEC 61439, IEC 60204, IEC 61921
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
