    Working in the PAPI P&P Service, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI) in Westerville, Ohio, you will be Leading the execution of small projects, ensuring that they are executed in line with procedures, specifications, standards requirements and targets. You will be responsible for deployment of new products and services including innovative pilots. Delivery of service contract digital service commitments. Creation and maintenance of cloud dashboard displays for Pulp & Paper digital services. Support organizational readiness for successful execution of project replications. Expand delivery capabilities for digital services.

    Your responsibilities

    • Collaborative Operations solution implementation at customer sites and in Collaborative Operations Center (COC) data center
    • Lead service delivery of pulp & paper digital solutions to customers
    • Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction
    • Collaborate with Optimization Team to improve quality and efficiency of digital service delivery
    • Support R&D (Research and development) group through version testing, bug reporting and feature suggestions
    • Support sales organization in addressing opportunities related to pulp & paper digital services
    • Conduct advanced analytics studies by first contextualizing the data and then developing process specific models
    • Design and test data validation models to safeguard accuracy of analytics and predictive measurements
    • Clearly and concisely document and present technical and financial value findings and recommendations to show customer benefits which in turn will help to broaden the customer relationship and expand ABB’s product and service business with the customer
    • Drive the standardization of solution implementation processes to ease replication efforts and increase repeatability

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (paper science, chemical and/or process control preferred) and minimum of 5 years related experience
    • Understanding of papermaking processes
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
    • Hands on experience working in a papermaking environment / first hand knowledge of process
    • Experiencing performing data analysis work including data cleaning, contextualization, modeling and automation of these tasks using computer programming
    • Experience writing/editing with any or all: Python, MATLAB, XML, JSON
    • Travel up to 25% could be possible, both domestic and international travel could be required for purposes including: Project implementation, Solution maintenance and optimization
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
