Digital Electronics R&D Senior Engineer

You will be working as R&D Senior Engineer, reporting to R&D Manager and will be part of Motion – Drive product division based in Bangalore. R&D senior engineer owns product technical concept and leads new product development daily design and verification activities and task management, provides and actively develops product development tools such as verification and build plans, and sets dimensioning and quality criteria and rules to the new product development , works closely with project manager in order to ensure project scheduling, product specifications and quality meet customer requirements.

Your responsibilities

• PCB designing as per the ABB Guidelines and Tools
• Electronic Hardware Schematics circuits development
• Ensuring EMI/ EMC consideration during the layout
• Layout of PCB and Gerber file development
• Component selection for the PCB design.
• Coordinating and planning daily design and testing activities according to the project scope and schedule
• Mentoring and leading younger designers by your own example and experience

Your background

• More than 10 year hands on experience in the development of PCB development or corresponding experience
• Knowledge of the PCB design tools like PADS , OrCAD or similar tools
• Knowing the control interface and PWM control is an added advantage
• Good understanding knowledge of electronics, its mechanics and thermal management, FPGA, embedded software, PWM motor control, design for manufacturing and quality
• Mastery of electromagnetic compatibility and functional safety requirements
