In this role, you will be the technical point person for the sales organization in PAPI Systems Sales, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI), providing technical solutions and advice on ABB products, systems and applications. You will Implement global sales and marketing strategies for the digital software business in the assigned geographic area; ensuring that the HUB increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction in the region for digital. Your responsibilities
- Provides digital solution leadership for overall HUB, consistently at high quality, to sales, proposals and project teams. Ensure that the HUB develops a digital transformation strategy for its strategic accounts which delivers growth and profitable new revenue streams (revenue targets, profitability targets, project plans)
- Capture outside market situation and opportunities, understand customer drivers and digitalization needs, develop and evolve technology partnerships and translate these into a solution based business strategy to leverage untapped digital value. Develop and drive enterprise scale digitalization business opportunities with a strong game plan for the integrated digital systems and solutions, drive adoption of consultative selling within HUB.
- Analyzes customer requirements to ensure digital solution(s) meets objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge and business acumen. Acts as a high level technical expert, providing knowledge and analysis of digital software applications and operational environments, functional systems analysis, design, integration and implementation advice for complex digital solution implementation. Provides direction and mentoring to sales and project teams.
- Interfaces with and influences customer’s senior technical and business leadership. Accelerate existing digital transformation opportunities in the Division: integrate, penetrate, replicate.
- Continuously drives business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions with solutions consulting, PG and digital portfolio teams. Demonstrates expertise in multiple digital solution areas across three or more portfolios with the ability to architect and design technology solutions.
Your background
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering or related technical field, and minimum 10 years experience in the OT (Operational Technology), software industry with focus on digitalization, digital solution, Internet of Things, process automation, process digitalization.
- Open to travel about 50%.
- Preferred Qualifications; deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends. Proven track record in customer focus, exposure to customer top management, consultative selling, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successes.
- Proven experience in driving digital development for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation). Background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning as applied to Industrial digital solutions.
- Ability to deliver complex deliverables under demanding timelines. Be flexible with changes and keep the customer focused and stay within the scope of the engagement. Deep Experience in the industrial software environment; Division specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software) preferred experience and background in either one or more of the Division industrial domains of Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Cement, Food & Beverage and Data Centers. Knowledge of software solutions covering operational excellence, process performance, asset performance management, safety & sustainability, supply chain and cyber security. Extensive exposure to various unit operations in the process industry as well as sound knowledge of end to end supply change and production optimization. Change management experience is a strong plus.
- Proven collaborator with the ability to drive success in direct and matrix organization. Demonstrates inspirational leadership and passion for digital solutions in the industrial space. Excellent networking skills in an international organization, “leading by influence”.
