Director, Customer & Sales Implementation

A key role in assisting the sales team, the Director, Customer & Sales Implementation prepares sales proposals for EL Market US, Electrification (EL) Business Area. You will be responsible to plan and ensure execution of Division, Business Unit or Product Group sales strategy for assigned area, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Responsible for leading and developing and coaching the Sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Align with marketing, operations, reporting and sales force teams to ensure operation excellence in the sales team. Applying operational excellence methodologies and providing solutions and services for all Sales units of the Division, Business Units and Product Groups in accordance with ABBs Business Mission and Values.

Your responsibilities
- Sales strategy: Creates, plans and implements sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy
- Sales targets: Support the establishment of sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
- Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency. Assists the divisions in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Drives alignment and accountability
- This role enables the sales team and leaders to stay customer focused while ensuring key deliverables are being met behind the scenes
- Customer/Channel Changes: Supports process for conversion targets with sales team and channel team
- Information sharing: Coordinates the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, sales, orders, etc and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals
- Responsible for providing input the developing the standards of common sales reports and market intelligence essential to the sales community in the dedicated area. Recommends revisions to existing reports and assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed
- Supports in the dedicated area the deployment of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and monitors the sales performance, example productivity, channels, sectors
- Responsible for providing input on: Product launches, Promotions, Sample Cases
- Customer relations: Supports the development of strong relationships with key customers for Empower tool utilization
- Internal/External Customer relations for sales process utilization. Provide consistent feedback to marketing about the effectiveness of marketing communications
- Drive ease of doing business processes for end users & channel partners
- Sales process: Takes ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs Supports at the dedicated area a proper implementation and communication of the sales processes. SAP, CMF and Financial Systems Connections for Account Managers and IReps. Assuring correct systems connections with accounts and credit assignments
- Customer Focus: Communicates and collaborates with all Electrification’s Division Commercial Operations that the Utility Organization engages to ensure proper alignment and processes and customer ‘ease of doing business as well as system efficiencies
- Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency. Assists the divisions in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Drives alignment and accountability
- Drive ease of doing business processes for sales resources, dashboard maintenance and training (PowerBI, RBook, ATLAS, Qlickview, SFDC Blue/Red, Callidus)
- People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR & Sales Manager support) that the related area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies
- Drives and ensures know how sharing and cross collaboration
- Communication: Ensures a proper communication and updates on issues related to tools development and new functionalities
- Support for division specific sales documentation, guidelines and updates. Drives and holds the sales team accountability for sales communication outline and rigor. Works with marketing & communication team for Town halls, NPI Introductions, trainings, social media, monthly communication
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 10 years experience in sales and or sales support leadership
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated strong verbal/written and presentation skills to all levels in an organization
- Demonstrated strong problem solving, selling and negotiation skills
- Broad business acumen, ability to plan and execute on sales plans
- Strong Analytic background
- Experience in IT platforms to increase sales effectiveness
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
