In this role you will be responsible for planning and execution for the sales strategy in US Motion Traction in Richmond, Virginia. You will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems and/or service in profitable ways. You will lead, develop, and coach the sales organization proactively to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • Creates, plans, and implements sales strategies, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy. Achieve sales targets in respect of budget and sales strategy
  • Establishes sales targets and ensure sales achievement, through regular oversight, and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
  • Identifies opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical area, and determines plans for acquisition and allocates resources
  • Coordinates the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitors and provides reports on market intelligence
  • Supports the development of strong relationships with key customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision makes. Ensures efficient marketing communications
  • Ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets, participates on negotiations of key contracts. Monitors client financial status and reports an changes regarding risk and risk related to contracts
  • Takes ownership of the sales process, and all relevant training and development plans, action and programs
  • Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within HR policies

Your background

  • Bachelor degree and 12 of years of technical sales experience OR Associate degree and 14 years of work technical sales experience OR High school diploma and 16 years of technical sales experience required
  • Travel up to 50% required
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Knowledge of the traction market and industry contacts highly preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
