    We are looking for a new colleague for the position of "Drive/Switchboard Project Engineer" in ABB's Europe Operations Centre in Ostrava. The Operations Centre is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which carries out engineering for units around the world. The position is also suitable for graduates! Will you join us? This is a Drive/Switchboard Project Engineer at Global Grade 14-15, reporting to the Team Leader.

    Your responsibilities

    • Responsibility for the technical design of the propulsion system for ferries, offshore, cruise and towing vessels
    • Creation of electrical documentation for ship propulsion systems
    • Working closely with production units across Europe
    • Participation in the acceptance of frequency converters, transformers and motors
    • Cooperation in commissioning

    Your background

    • University degree in electrical engineering (focus on power or drives)
    • Fluent in English (B2 level)
    • Ability to work independently
    • A willingness to travel abroad occasionally for examinations (3-4 times a year for a maximum of one week in Finland or Germany)
    • Knowledge of the ePlan environment is an advantage
    • Experience with frequency converters is an advantage
