We are looking for a new colleague for the position of "Drive Commissioning Engineer" in the Europe Operations Centre with branches in Ostrava, Brno and Pilsen. Operations Centre Europe is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which performs engineering for units across Europe and employs over 600 staff. It also includes a supply chain management centre. In this position, you will be responsible for the design of drive (LV/MV) projects. Within this role you will also work closely with the MAC (Mining, Aluminium, Cement) project centre in Switzerland. Will you be joining us? Your responsibilities

• Commissioning of electrical drives and related equipment (LV/MV)
• Installing and checking connections
• Carrying out functional and load tests of equipment
• Communication with the customer
• Cooperation with the project team
• Service and maintenance of drives, including minor modifications in parameterization, upgrades, etc.
• Visiting suppliers and attending FAT

Your background

• Education in electrical engineering (e.g. power electronics, drives, systems engineering)
• Cecree 50/1978 Coll. (min. §5) or possibility to complete this decree
• Result orientation and reliability
• Team-oriented and supportive approach
• English language at a communicative level (A2/B1) - you will improve quickly during on-site training
• Willingness to travel (up to 60-70%)
• University degree in electrical engineering is an advantage
• Previous experience in PLC programming or drives is an advantage
• German language at a communicative level is an advantage
• Basic experience in using electrical design tools (e.g. E3/E-plan) is an advantage
