We are looking for a new colleague for the position of "Experienced Electrical and MaR Designer" in ABB Operational Centre Europe with branch in Brno. The Europe Operations Centre is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which carries out engineering for units across Europe and employs more than 600 staff. It also includes a supply chain management centre. In addition to Brno, we also have offices in Ostrava and Pilsen. This position reports to
Engineering Manager
Your responsibilities
- Specification of instrumentation and electrical fill for projects in line with quality, scheduling and cost commitments
- Developing and submitting the necessary specifications to the electrical designer
- Reviewing and forwarding technical specification with Purchasing department (Drives, PLC, PC and server) and technical consultation with suppliers
- Checking the implementation of suppliers (manufacturing of switchgear, and 3rd party supplies)
- Keeping track of new technology developments, monitoring trends, standards and their application
- Checking the technical quality of the work carried out by the electrical designer before production and handover to the customer
- Participating in the testing of I/O cabinets, control cabinets or combiner cabinets at subcontractors' premises
- Participation and technical support of the team during commissioning - Author's supervision
- PID diagrams / Hook-ups
- List of documentation
- List of equipment (cabinets, boxes, etc.)
- List of cables
- I/O list (assigned by geographical sector.)
- Load calculation
- Definition of PLC configuration and field instrumentation
- List of drives
- Specifications for tenders: switchgear manufacturing, wiring and technology testing
Your background
- University degree (BSc/Ing) in electrical field.
- Previous experience in the electrical field (2-3 years)
- English language at a communicative level
- Experience with CAE/CAD systems (AutoCAD, eBASE)
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- Experience with SAP is an advantage
- French language at a communicative level is an advantage
