We are looking for a new colleague for the position of "Electrical Designer" in the Operational Centre Europe in Brno. The Europe Operations Centre is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which carries out engineering for units across Europe and employs over 600 staff. It also includes a supply chain management centre. In addition to Brno, we also have offices in Ostrava and Pilsen. Engineering Manager

Your responsibilities

• Design and creation of design documentation in CAE/CAD systems (AutoCAD, eBASE)
• Responsible for the design of electrical switchboards, distribution cabinets, and junction boxes
• Responsible for the concept and readability of design documentation :, uses common sense, and good engineering practice
• Collaborating with the client on input documents and back-checking them
• Specification of devices using type diagrams, based on knowledge and experience in standard prepared databanks
• Specification of equipment scope, its definition and possible updating in databanks
• Consideration of the environment and IEC standards in the design and consultation with the customer
• Maintains contact with equipment manufacturers/suppliers monitoring market trends and products, and applying them for possible production optimization

Your background

• University degree (Bc/Ing) in electrical field
• Previous experience in design (2-3 years)
• Orientation in drawing documentation (electrical schematics)
• English language at a communicative level
• Experience with CAE/CAD systems (AutoCAD, eBASE)
• Experience with MS Office
• Experience in wiring electrical cabinets is an advantage
• Experience with SAP French language at a communicative level is an advantage
