We are filling this position for ABB's Operations Centre in Ostrava, part of ABB's Process Automation division, which carries out engineering for units across Europe and employs over 500 staff. It also includes a supply chain management centre. This position is suitable for seasoned engineers as well as students who are interested in automation and want to gain experience on projects abroad.     Your responsibilities

    • Design, specification and documentation of automation systems
    • Creation of functional descriptions and programming of software applications
    • Design of hardware for the implementation of automation systems
    • Performing acceptance tests (FAT)
    • Commissioning of equipment at the customer's site
    • Active work within the entire project team
    • Creating technical documentation in accordance with ABB and end customer requirements

    Your background

    • Minimum of a secondary education in electrical engineering
    • Decree No. 50/1978 Coll. (min. §5)
    • Communicative knowledge of English (communication with customers and colleagues - telephone + emails + in person) - min. B1/B2
    • Willingness to work in an international team
    • Ability to work independently
    • Willingness to travel - international trips are usually 3 to 4 times a year for about 14 days
    • University degree in electrical engineering is an advantage
    • Work experience in automation / electrical (PLC, drives, control systems, design) is an advantage
