    Electrical Project Engineer

    Design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, costeffectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

    Your responsibilities

    • Technical contribution: Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Provides technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.
    • Customer and Sales: Finalizes ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts as part of Kick-Off and Design Freeze Meetings. Actively participates project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations. Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.).
    • Technical leadership and knowledge sharing: Applies basic Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in projects. Actively utilizes checklists to perform design verification according applicable standards and engineering guidelines. Contributes and shares experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes. Shares best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines.
    • Processes and tools: Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.
    • Risk and opportunity management: Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects. Reports any contract / safety / quality / program /cost issues to Project. Manager(s) for resolution.
    • Contract management: Ensures Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations; and project gross margin requirements by not generating
    • Project Left-Over Material (PLOM): Identifies and implements variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from Project Manager.
    • Planning and control: Follows work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.
    • Supply Chain management: Collaborates with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations.
    • Manufacturing and Testing: Coordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested. Updates the engineering deliverables as-built.
    • Commissioning and Service: Coordinates with Commissioning / Service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract). Updates the engineering deliverables post installation & commissioning (if applicable).

    Your background

    • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or similar
    • 2-3 Years of Experience
    • Deep knowledge of Electrical Engineering
    • Advanced English
    • Design Proficiency
    • AutoCAD Proficiency
    • Knowledge of Medium Voltage Outdoor Products
    • E-plan Proficiency is a plus
    • SAP Proficiency is a plus
