Emergency Lighting Service & Technical support Field Technicien m/f/d

In this role you will execute Service work with medium to high complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Additionally, you will support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. You will be reporting to the EML Service Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Visiting customer sites to perform service tasks such as commissioning, replacement and preventative and corrective maintenance of (intelligent) emergency lighting products/systems and Central Battery systems related to the installed base in France.
- Providing technical advises, expertise and comments on enquiry specifications for the France EML LSO & customers in the form of telephone support, creating reports and/or on-site intervention.
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work and providing valuable technical support according customer expectation and main-tains a good relationship.
- Coordinating, preparing and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
- Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.
- Proactively identifying potential EML failures and taking proactive corrective actions.
- Proactively identifying suggestions for product, quality and customer service improvement and discussing them with management for changes.
- Actively ensuring that HSE practices are of high standard.
Your background
- At least medium education with a specialization in electrical and electronical engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of maintenance, putting in service or troubleshooting of (intelligent) electrical installations.
- Good knowledge of electronics, emergency lighting.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Good command of English and fluent French are a must.
- No obstacles for travelling (around 60% of your work, in France).
- Customer oriented, organized, autonomous and motivated in a challenging environment.
- Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business.
