    At ABB Energy Industries we’re providing products, system and solutions ranging from electrification, automation, instrumentation and digital to customers within the energy industries. The Energy Industries Service team is focusing on new business opportunities within power generation, district heating, energy conversion & management and smart infrastructure. Do you want to be part of the revolution of energy transition? Are you an entrepreneurial individual who have a passion for, and some experience in, areas related to energy transition topics such as Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), Power to X solutions (PtX), Distributed energy resources (DER), Energy management system (EMS) or Sector Coupled Virtual Power Plants (VPP). Do you also have a good understanding of the energy value chain – clients, suppliers, prospective partners, technologies, digitalization, key market players, regional trends in Finland and various national policies? You might be the one we are looking for. In this newly formed role, you will be working as an Energy Transition Specialist and drive our effort in accelerating the green hydrogen economy, enabling a low carbon society and sustainability. This position could be located in Helsinki, Pirkkala or Vaasa.     Service Manager, Energy Industries Service

    Your responsibilities

    • Ensuring a clear vision is developed and communicated regarding the Energy Transition and Sustainability
    • You will be the responsible engineer for solutions at early stage customer engagements, ranging from conceptual design to leading feasibility and FEED-studies
    • In this important role, you will be a key-player in positioning ABB and deliver value early-on in our efforts to enable the energy transition
    • Making technical recommendations in the design and engineering, to ensure all actions are completed according to process requirements and standards
    • Technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors
    • The position involves working together with Finnish and internationals customers and vendors, therefore some travelling must be expected
    • Ensuring speed and agility in customer engagement for continuous establishment of new businesses and working collaboratively with sales responsibility for Energy Transition Market
    • Supporting decision making through relevant data, analysis and results/KPI tracking

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field of study
    • Knowledge and experience within the Energy Industries processes, technology and industry
    • Creative thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills, achieved through cooperating with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver complex projects
    • Strong self-initiative with entrepreneurial attitude and highly comfortable in operating and delivering results in new, agile and ambiguous environments
    • Strong customer-centric vision
    • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, influencing and collaboration skills
    • Domain knowledge about Electricity markets and optimization
    • Fluency in Finnish and good in English, Swedish is an advantage
    • Process knowhow about district heating is an advantage
