    The Engineering Manager heads a team of designers and engineers in Distribution Solutions – Packaging and Solutions Switzerland, guiding and coaching them, and developing their skills and knowledge. In this role, you will oversee engineering projects, delivering high-quality, cost-effective and timely engineering solutions to customers, in line with the contract, safety and quality requirements.

    Your responsibilities

    • Management of 4 engineering teams with about 15 engineers and technicians covering the following areas: Engineering for low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, control and communication technology, e-Mobility and eBus solutions, and protection software
    • Sustainable development and continuous improvement of the necessary engineering and service competencies
    • Responsible for engineering cost centers including cost control and budgeting
    • Optimization of engineering processes as well as interfaces with internal and external suppliers
    • Technical responsibility for the successful execution of packaging projects for the Swiss market
    • Coordination of interfaces with internal and external suppliers and close cooperation with sales, project management and suppliers
    • Support the sales team in the generation of offers with technical competence and proper cost information
    • Support the business in project execution at all locations in Switzerland

    Your background

    • 10 years of experience in engineering for power distribution solutions, working as engineer and / or engineering manager for engineered packages and solutions as well as larger, complex projects
    • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools
    • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
    • A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
    • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field
    • Good German and English skills
