    Field Service Engineer

    As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. Reporting to Field Service Manager / Service Operations Manager, you will be coordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities. Preparing standard lists for ease of work.

    Your responsibilities

    • Performing medium to high complex Service tasks like installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, repair independently, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.)
    • Ensuring customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identifying new sales opportunities and takes influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio
    • Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed. Creating standards or job durations
    • Proactively identifying potential equipment failures and proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting complex equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
    • Proactively identifying suggestions for product, quality and customer service improvement and discusses them with management for changes
    • Actively ensuring that HSE practices are of high standard. Working to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents
    • Consistently applying functional processes considering links to other teams

    Your background

    • Degree / Diploma in Engineering related disciplines
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Automation & Controls Systems
    • Good understanding of HMI, DCS, Scada, PLC, IT, OT, P&ID, Safety & automation systems
    • Preferable knowledge in ABB Automation Systems (800xA / Symphony S+)
    • Experience in Maintenance / Testing & commissioning / FAT / SAT in Automation System
    • Preferable working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical plant/ Offshore/ Power & Water Industries
    • Position is based in Singapore/Malaysia but require travelling & work outside of Singapore/Malaysia like Asian Region, Offshore & etc
