As a Service Engineer / Technician, you will execute service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service. Reporting to the Service Team Manager Burghausen, you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support.

Your responsibilities

• Support of customers with ABB process control systems in the Bavaria region
• Identification of errors and malfunctions, analysis of the causes and elimination of problems (with the use of modern tools and with the assistance of our support and remote specialists
• Maintenance, repair work and system checks so that our customers can operate their systems with high availability and reliability
• System commissioning and engineering as part of projects in our specialist department
• Maintenance of customer contacts at all levels, preparation of deployment, test and inspection reports with the help of modern tools
• Independent creation of technical specifications, offers and calculations for service projects
• Participation in the on-call service

Your background

• Successfully completed vocational degree as a technician
• Ideally, several years of experience with ABB control technology and automation products
• Knowledge of preparing offers, costing and negotiating is an advantage
• IT knowledge with Windows operating systems, PC hardware and in the area of network technology are desirable
• A high level of initiative and commitment, structured work, analytical thinking, but also the ability to think outside the box
• Flexibility, willingness to travel and participation in the on-call service
• Car driving license
