    Position summary

    will develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of customers and team members.
    This position reports to

    Director of Products and Services, Americas
    Your responsibilities

    • Field Services Management: Supervise and lead the field services team, ensuring timely and high quality delivery of services to clients

    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize field service availability and quality and to enhance customer satisfaction

    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery

    • Set performance goals and expectations for the field services team. Ensure customer focus, understanding of sense of urgency and service excellence. Enable first time right implementations

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members

    • Identify areas for improvement and implement performance improvement plans as necessary

    • Training Management: Assess the training needs of internal (that is Engineering teams) and external customers and design relevant training programs

    • Collaborate with Academy team at Headquarters on training material development including manuals, presentations and other resources, to support effective learning

    • Determine when regional training material development is warranted and develop execution plan

    • Ensure the effective execution of internal and external technical trainings related to products, systems and services

    • Ensure planning for the training function by assigning instructors, resources and approving schedules

    • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies and best practices to incorporate into training program

    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to meet performance goals

    • Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to ensure continuous improvement

    • Client Management: Work closely with clients, both external and internal, to understand their needs and address any issues related to field services

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty

    • Other Tasks: Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect reports

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) directives. Assess risks and implement plans to ensure safety

    • Provide, organize and/or create reference documentation as resources for customers, as well as internal procedural documentation

    • Additional duties as assigned

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (example, business, management, engineering) and minimum of 1 years of relevant (Training and/or Field Service) team leadership experience

    • Proven experience in field services management and training

    • Experience with Technical Support and services

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

    • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards

    • Ability to analyze data and make data driven decisions

    • Proficiency with process improvement and optimization

    • Familiarity with technology and tools used in field services and the delivery of training

    • Familiarity with project management tools

    • Willingness to travel as needed

    • Flexibility to work non traditional hours when necessary

    • Certifications in relevant areas (example, project management, training and development) are a plus

    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
