    Finance Analyst

    In this position, you will aid the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics for performance versus budgets and forecasts, while identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups and recommending actions to improve financial performance. You will be responsible for managing the financial and analytical aspects of our global functional costs. This position reports to the ELPC (Electrification Power Conversion) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager.

    Your responsibilities

    • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): business analytical services to the business, based on customer requirements
    • Automated tools/reports design, implementation and maintenance
    • Semi automated and manual analytical services, and one off (ad-hoc) analytical output
    • Systems and Master Data Governance: charts of account, Business Warehouse
    • Tools, payroll consolidation etc
    • Functional Controlling: controlling, month and quarter end financial close, budgeting, forecasts, cost control, charging mechanisms, tax compliance and Business Partnering within respective function
    • Special Projects within the controlling area: Participate in benchmarking of processes, tools and solutions in order to further optimize and standardize controlling activities
    • Optimizes own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements
    • Internal control and compliance: ensure processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with accounting guidelines

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or business administration and minimum 5 years experience in FP&A or accounting experience
    • Robust process understanding from the content and technical (IT) perspective
    • Good understanding of a business set up and interconnections
    • Ability to interact with process stakeholders at various levels
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong problem solving; analytical skills; ability to prioritize tasks
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives with a focus on details
    • Strong MS Office skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in IT systems: ERP, SAP, Planning & Reporting tools (Hyperion, MS Power Business Intelligence) and integrated solutions
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
