    As a Financial Specialist, you will be providing financial and control expertise to the Motion Nema Business (MONM) in Fort Smith, Arkansas by working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance and identifying trends relevant to the business. You’ll be actively participating in Month end activities ensuring our books accuracy and supporting ABB’s reporting process from SAP-BUS to ABACUS. As well as providing explanations for unexpected financial trends.

    Your responsibilities

    • The Financial Specialist supports ABB / Motion NEMA Motors and is located in Fort Smith, AR. Responsibilities include: Month End activities to include (but not limited too): account analysis, account reconciliation, journal entry creation, posting and review, inventory analysis, balance reconciliations.
    • Participate and follow up on forecast and budget process by partnering with cost center owners and division controllers.
    • Provide business explanations in accounts variation. Work as a finance team member to ensure financial and operational accuracy of commissions, rebates, and district manager numbers.
    • Ensure accuracy of information in Vistex, reconciliation of rebate/commission, audit walkthroughs and Internal controls testing.
    • Ensure accuracy of financial information and data in local systems (BUS, Finflow, ABACUS).
    • Provide support and guidance to GBS (Global Business Services)/COE (Center of Excellence​) accordingly.
    • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 3 years experience.
    • Preferred Experience Includes: Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, SAP, ABACUS, HFM.
    • Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
